Support of reading and writing tessellated geometry is added for the following STEP entities:
- triangulated face
- complex triangulated face
- tessellated shell
- tessellated solid
- tessellated shape representation
Models without BRep geometry (mesh formats like STL, OBJ and so on) are supported for writing to STEP.
New parameters are added to enable/disable tessellated geometry reading and writing:
- read.step.tessellated (On/Off/OnNoBRep) (On by default)
- write.step.tessellated (On/Off/OnNoBRep) (OnNoBRep by default)
OnNoBRep - tessellation is read/written only for entities for which there is no BRep representation.
Faces with poly triangulation are written in STEP as triangulated face entities with one coordinates list per face.
Only one poly triangulation per face (returned by BRep_Tool::Triangulation) is written to STEP.
Various performance improvements in STEP read/write algorithms:
- Search for the label of a shape or component shape is improved using map mechanism instead of brute force iteration.
- Invariant FindEntities() is moved out of the loop in the method getStyledItem in STEPCAFControl/STEPCAFControl_Writer.cxx.
- A pointer to the end of binders chain is added in Transfer_Binder class to speed up adding a binder to the chain.
- Small fixes are added to eliminate excess copying of handles, calls of handle DownCasts and so on.
Stack overflow is removed during destruction of STEP model with long chains of Transfer_Binder.
It is possible to use the Draw commands ReadStep and WriteStep to read/write from the session without accessing the disk file (use '.' for the file name).
Performance test cases for STEP reading/writing have been added.
All occurrences of Standard_EXPORT attached to inline methods in OCCT code are eliminated.
Some unused classes and C++ files producing no code are deleted.
Added compile-time checks (static_assert) in DEFINE_STANDARD_RTTI*(A,B) macros to check that A is actually the class being defined, and B is its base class.
For GCC compiler version 4.7 and later on, check ensures that B is direct base class of A.
Fixed dubious RTTI definitions.
Implement import/export of Dimensions without semantic.
Add new type of dimension for GDTs with presentation and connecting to shapes.
Update test cases.
Small corrections for issue CR28315
StepVisual_StyledItem::Item() now does not call IsKind() on NULL object.
Add several checks for NULL to import/export.

Methods Init() in STEP data classes are made non-virtual, redundant variants just calling the same method of the base class are removed.
A few places where removed method have been called are corrected.
Automatic upgrade of OCCT code by command "occt_upgrade . -nocdl":
- WOK-generated header files from inc and sources from drv are moved to src
- CDL files removed
- All packages are converted to nocdlpack
Mostly duplicated comments were removed and missing ones were moved
into dedicated class CDL files.
Some more duplicated comments were removed from CDL files.
Correction of merge
Redundant keyword 'mutable' removed in CDL files.
In IGESConvGeom_GeomBuilder, unused methods MakeXY() and MakeXYZ() removed.
Method StepAP214_AutoDesignGroupAssignment::Init() replicating same method of the base class is removed as it causes CDL extraction error after above (seemingly irrelevant) changes.
License statement text corrected; compiler warnings caused by Bison 2.41 disabled for MSVC; a few other compiler warnings on 54-bit Windows eliminated by appropriate type cast
