All occurrences of Standard_EXPORT attached to inline methods in OCCT code are eliminated.
Some unused classes and C++ files producing no code are deleted.
The macros Status, Convex, Opposite, FillSolid (coming from X11 headers)
are now undefined in place of definition of methods with same name in OCCT headers.
The usage of variables with name Status is now avoided.
GL_GLEXT_LEGACY is now defined only if not already defined.
The macros AddPrinter (coming from WinAPI headers) is now undefined
within Message_Messenger class definition having method with the same name.
CurrentDirectory macro is now undefined in OSD_Process.hxx.
In the case of infinite point due to not enough machine precision the distance from the point to each edge of the face is computed the same, and the algorithm cannot correctly select the nearest edge. To solve this problem checking of point was added, if the point is located too far from the bounding box of the face, then it will be replaced with another point located on the line between the point and the center of the bounding box.
The new point has the same state as initial one but its state can be resolved without ambiguity.
Corrections in CheckPoint method
Small correction of test case for issue CR27434
A new script adm/upgrade.tcl defines a Tcl procedure occt_upgrade, to be used for upgrading code of OCCT and applications for changes introduced by OCCT 7.0.
Batch script upgrade.bat is provided for convenience.
File upgrade.dat contains data (lists of classes) required for some upgrade steps.
Details on upgrade procedure are put in dox/dev_guides/upgrade/upgrade.md.
OCCT code corrected to improve compatibility with code based on previous versions of OCCT:
- Added conversion operator of handle to bool, for use in conditional expressions.
- Forward declaration of argument class restored in macro DEFINE_STANDARD_HANDLE.
- Includes of used classes added in some headers to avoid problem of missing includes in dependent code
- Type cast operators to base curve and surface added in GC and GCE2d classes to reduce porting issues.
Added test for local reference to handle initialized by temporary handle to derived class.
WOK and CDL User Guides removed.
Automatic upgrade of OCCT code by command "occt_upgrade . -nocdl":
- WOK-generated header files from inc and sources from drv are moved to src
- CDL files removed
- All packages are converted to nocdlpack
Macros ending on "DEB" are replaced by OCCT_DEBUG across OCCT code; new macros described in documentation.
Macros starting with DEB are changed to start with "OCCT_DEBUG_".
Some code cleaned.
Existing method of Cylinder-Cylinder intersection computing is based on finding the analytic line (as a function of one argument) and converting one into the walking-line with set of equidistant (along the line parameter) points.
The main advantage of applied method is using adaptively computed step. Necessary step is computed into every point of the obtained walking-line. At that we receive final walking-line directly (without preliminary analytic line) and we determine moments more precisely, when it should be split (see IntPatch_ImpImpIntersection_4.gxx).
The main disadvantages is bad working this method for non-trimmed cylinders (with infinite bounds), because step value is depend on the boundaries values.
More over, new method always returns walking-line, while intersection result can be an analytic curve (lines, circle, ellipse). That is NO good. Therefore, analytic curve is computed by existing method.
In conclusion, in spite of covering almost all more often meeting cases, new method has limited application. Then we should use the existing old method.
Additionally, method MinMax() is added (see Standard_Real.hxx file). It uses into new algorithm.
Some test cases is changed according to their new behavior.
Test case for issue CR24915 is added.
Into GeometryTest_APICommands.cxx only tabulations were chaged.
"Extending" of isolines (see Geom2dHatch_Hatcher.cxx).
Small correction of test case for issue CR24915.
1) Generic class "GccEnt_QualifiedCurv" from "GccEnt" package converted to the non-generic class and moved to the "Geom2dGcc" package. Name of this class was changed to "Geom2dGcc_QCurve".
2) Generic classes "HatchGen_ElementGen", "HatchGen_ElementsGen", "HatchGen_HatchingGen" and "HatchGen_Hatcher" from "HatchGen" package converted to the non-generic classes and moved to the "Geom2dHatch" package. Names of this classes were changed to "Geom2dHatch_Element", "Geom2dHatch_Elements", "Geom2dHatch_Hatching" and "Geom2dHatch_Hatcher". Also all instantiations of the "internal" classes of this classes were moved to the "Geom2dHatch.cdl".
3) Generic classes "Extrema_GExtCC", "Extrema_GExtCC2d", "Extrema_GLocateExtCC" and "Extrema_GLocateExtCC2d" from "Extrema" package converted to the non-generic classes. Names of this classes were changed to "Extrema_ExtCC", "Extrema_ExtCC2d", "Extrema_LocateExtCC" and "Extrema_LocateExtCC2d". Also all instantiations of the "internal" classes of this classes were moved to the "Extrema.cdl".
